Our history
The history of Hotel Balneario de Marmolejo dates back to the early 20th century when it was built to meet the demands of a select clientele seeking to benefit from the region's healing waters. Designed by architect Lorenzo Gallego Llamas, the hotel opened its doors in 1923 and quickly became a symbol of luxury and prestige. During the Spanish Civil War, the building was converted into a military hospital, but it resumed its original function in 1940.
Over the decades, the hotel has undergone several periods of closure and reopening, always with on-going improvements to its facilities. In 1992, Hotel Balneario separated from the Balneario de Marmolejo and has changed ownership several times since then. Today, under our new management, we remain committed to providing a relaxing and wellness-oriented environment for our guests.
